Herne Bay Amateur Rowing Club

Founded in 1887. The club competes against other CARA (Coastal Amateur Rowing Association) clubs from Kent and Sussex during the summer season.

New members are always welcome.

The rowing club offers a healthy safe club and has a youth protection officer.

There is a well stocked bar for older members.

Programme of training for newcomers and those wishing to improve their skills.

Herne Bay Camera Club

Herne Bay Table Tennis Club

A group of table tennis enthusiasts, some as young as 10 while others are trying to get past 80 and still be playing!

Teams play in the Canterbury League as well as in other leagues in Kent and in national tournaments.

Training sessions for younger players are on Sundays from 5pm to 7.30pm, with adult playing sessions from 7.30pm on Sundays. Younger players are welcome to stay on.

Friday night is practice night from 7.45pm.

The Sea Cadets provides the opportunity for fun, friendship, adventure and learning new skills based on waterborne and land based activities.

Unit parade times: Sea Cadets (ages 12 - 17 years) Tuesday and Thursday 7pm

Juniors (ages 10 - 11 years) Tuesday 7pm

 

Herne Bay Beach Hut Owners Association.

The Association was formed in Summer of 2005 to provide a voice for the Beach Hut Owners of Herne Bay.

There are about 250 Beach Huts on the West Beach of Herne Bay and our membership represents around 75% of the owners of those Huts.

There is regular contact with Councilors, City Council Officials, the local Police Officers engaged in work on the Foreshore areas of the town.

We have arranged for our members to obtain generous discounts from Local traders for supplies and Services needed. Also significant discounts on Beach Hut Insurances.

Annual membership is only £5.00 per hut.
